The 2010s were most certainly an incredible decade for anime that offered countless new hit series and saw it become mainstream towards the end. In a plethora of amazing anime that made their debut in the 2010s, One Punch Man stood out as one of the biggest anime series. One Punch Man Season 1 dropped in 2015, and it was an instant hit with fans all over the world.
Not only was the concept interesting, with an overpowered main character, but the animation and direction were also incredible. Sadly for One Punch Man, the series never got the same treatment it received in its first season, which is unfortunate. One Punch Man Season 2 proved to be disastrous back in 2019 but the series had a chance to redeem itself with Season 3. Now, that's been ruined as well. One Punch Man Season 3 is currently airing, and fans only have negative things to say. OPM Season 3 has become the lowest-rated anime of 2025, and even has the lowest-rated episode of the year. One Punch Man Is Over As Season 3 Flops Hard
One Punch Man fans were excited for the third season of the series to finally debut, and many had high hopes that this would fix the damage that the second season caused to the series. Despite many fans’ hopefulness, the red flags were there from the beginning, and the disaster was clear months before the anime even started airing. With no actual trailer to show for it, it was apparent that the work on the anime was rushed and that the staff didn't have enough time to work on it.
One Punch Man Season 3 has shown nothing of value since it started airing. Many people working on OPM Season 3 had to get off of social media, and even make statements. Fans have definitely been angry with the handling of the franchise, but of course, that does not justify harassment towards people who just tried their best with what little time was given to them.

One Punch Man Season 3 was supposed to be somewhat better than the second season, at the very least. However, that was definitely not achieved.
On MAL, the biggest platform to rate anime, OPM Season 3 became the lowest-rated anime of the year, falling below even the likes of The Beginning After the End. It received a score of 5.42/10. In comparison, One Punch Man season 2 was much higher, at 7.53/10.

One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 6 is the lowest-rated episode on IMDb. It received a score of 1.9/10. Of course, there’s still room for worse episodes to come as the season keeps airing, which just goes to show the sorry state of production.

Fans of One-Punch Man are definitely tired of the terrible adaptation of their favorite manga. While one average Season would've been understandable, the series keeps going lower, and it doesn’t seem like it will get any better in the future.
